During the Christmas of 2024, Ramu NiCo held grand Christmas visit and condolence activities for relevant governments, social organizations and teams in Papua New Guinea.
Community Affairs Department and major leaders of Ramu NiCo’s BSK Refinery and KBK Mine sent warm Christmas condolences to the local communities. Community Affairs Department of BSK Refinery paid an annual Christmas visit to community churches and donated food and materials to 14 churches around BSK Refinery. Community Affairs Department of KBK Mine successfully held a Christmas condolence activity. The activity covered tribal leaders and landowners who had made positive contributions in the KBK mining area, along the slurry pipeline, in the water source area and in the new exploration area. In total, more than 60 families received holiday care, including rice, flour, cooking oil, coffee, milk powder and other necessities.
Other functional departments of Ramu NiCo also paid visits and condolences to relevant PNG governments and related departments at all levels. During the visit and condolence, relevant personnel expressed their gratitude to Ramu NiCo for its contribution to PNG local social and economic development, and also expressed their support for the long-term stable development of Ramu NiCo in Papua New Guinea and would make joint efforts to continue to create a harmonious community environment.
