With the guidance of the professorial team of Fixed Equipment and the support of all the other relevant departments, The No. 2 drum washer replaced successfully in KBK mine at 24 August.
This No. 2 drum washer shakes terribly during work after worked for 7 years successively, which have affected the production of the all series of Washing Plant.
As the main responsibility department for the maintenance of the drum, the Fixed Equipment Maintenance has organized a capable team of 10 people to seize the opportunity of low production load during the third overhaul this year, formulated the replacement plan carefully, and implemented each step conscientiously. Make sure that the drum replacement is safely and efficiently.
In the early stage of construction, the experienced maintainer make a preliminary plan for drum replacement:The old drum is slid under the support of the bracket by the force of the chain hoist to the location that the 80-ton crane can be lifted directly. This is the kernel of the drum replacement and is full of challenges. Prudently, the fixed work area repeatedly discussed and improved the design drawings. In the final design, the support force of the cylinder was increased to further ensure the safety of the cylinder replacement.
At the time of formal construction, every step of the lifting operation is essential. The maintenance personnel strictly abide by the safety standards for lifting operations. Under the strict supervision of the HSE Site Office, there is no safety hazard in the construction. Moreover, according to the various failures of the 2# cylinder in the past 7 years, the fixed connection area may be reinforced with the ribs in advance during the installation of the cylinder, and the connection points of the welding may be formed to ensure the strength of the cylinder. Ensure continuity of production in the future. In addition, the installation of the cylindrical gear is the key to the replacement. which will directly determines to the success or failure of the construction. Therefore, the mine specially invited the technical expert of the Engineer Chen Duzhang from SJ. With his strong support, the installation and correction welding of the gears was completed in only 3 days, which contribute to complete the entire project advanced 2 days earlier than the original plan.
The efforts and hardwork of the Fixed Equipment Maintenance Team have been highly appreciated by the mine management, which have shown the true MCC spirit of “No delaying, No slacking”. They have set the best example for all of us.
